BodyTite

BodyTite is a great solution for individuals who are looking to reduce fat without the saggy, wrinkly skin. BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure that shapes, tightens and lifts without the scalpel or scar. You are left with surgical-like results without the added downtime.

  • BodyTite is a safe and effective minimally invasive procedure, where a wand is inserted under the skin to melt fat inside while tightening the skin on top.
  • This is a new procedure that is the next best thing to a surgical tummy tuck. For patients who don’t want to have long scars from a tummy tuck, this is the perfect solution.
  • Patients can be assured of a minimally invasive aesthetic procedure with decreased pain, swelling and downtime, and avoid larger surgical procedures.
  • 1 treatment is needed, and results continue to improve up to 3-12 months afterwards.

  • What areas can be treated?

If you can imagine it, you can do it: stomach, arms, chest, knees and inner/outer thighs are some of the most common treatment zones. Multiple areas can be treated in one visit. Each zone will take approximately 15 minutes of treatment.

What is the technology behind BodyTite?

BodyTite uses RFAL (Radio-Frequency Assisted Liposuction) technology that addresses some of the shortcomings associated with traditional liposuction or surgical body lifts.

    Is it safe?

Built-in safeguards assure high safety levels. FaceTite’s proprietary technology includes the regulation of skin temperature, impedance levels, energy monitoring, and cut-off levels.

    How many treatments are required?

One treatment is needed, and results continue to improve up to 3-12 months afterwards.

How Quickly Will I See Results?

Results can be seen immediately, with best results noticeable after 6 months, and continuing up to 12 months.

    What is the downtime?

Depending on the treatment area, downtime can be from 1-2 days up to 10 days.

    Breast Augmentation

Mammoplasty, more commonly known as breast augmentation, is a very popular and safe surgical cosmetic procedure that reshapes the breast by contouring and resizing, creating a significant change in the appearance of the upper body.

Through Dr. Walker’s skilled breast augmentation procedures you can:

    • Make your breasts larger and firmer
    • Reshape sagging or deflated breasts for added lift
    • Reduce the size of breasts to better fit your body or relieve back pain

Dr. Christy Walker will evaluate your goals and help you determine the size and shape to be achieved. Dr. Walker is skilled in understanding the subtle nuances associated with breast augmentation and can help you achieve a natural, beautiful bust – whether you go smaller, larger, or reshape.

    What is breast augmentation?

Breast augmentation is the surgical altering of the breast to make the breasts either larger or smaller, or to reshape and lift the breast.

    Breast augmentation includes the following:

    • Breast reduction – reduces the size of the breast
    • Breast lift – pulls the breast upward
    • Breast implants – adds volume and shape to the breast

Am I candidate for breast augmentation?

Woman chose breast augmentation for a variety of reasons. Often, age and pregnancy coupled with breast feeding contributes to a change in breast density, which often results in deflated-looking, or sagging breasts.

Other woman chose breast augmentation because they wish to have firmer, larger breasts. Others, because they already have naturally large breasts that cause them pain or discomfort or make it hard to dress the way they wish, seek breast augmentation to decrease the size of their breasts.

What can I expect from breast augmentation?

Breast augmentation surgery is performed under general anesthesia in an outpatient surgery center. Prior to surgery, Dr. Walker will review your goals and mark the breasts. Dr. Walker does everything possible to minimize the size, frequency, and appearance of scars.

What is the recovery from breast augmentation like?

Discomfort can range from minimal to moderate and is usually controlled by oral pain medications. Swelling is expected for the first few days after surgery, as well as mild bruising, firmness, numbness or tingling. You will be asked to wear a special bra and limit certain activities for several weeks after surgery. You can expect the scars to fade after about 12 to 18 months, although they will never be completely invisible. Exercise and many activities must be avoided for four to six weeks following surgery to avoid injury.

There are three ways to make an appointment with Dr. Walker:

    Tummy Tuck

Abdominoplasty, more popularly known as a tummy tuck, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen, primarily the lower belly. Additionally, this procedure tightens the muscles and connective tissue to create a flatter, firmer abdomen.

Tummy tucks are popular after pregnancy and when a woman decides she is finished having children and wants to look more like her pre-childbearing self.

    What is a tummy tuck?

A tummy tuck, also called abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes the excess skin and tissue from the lower abdomen while tightening the underlying supportive tissues. Many women decide to undergo this procedure when they are finished having children to remove excess skin and tighten the troubled area after multiple pregnancies have left the abdomen stretched and wrinkled.

Is a tummy tuck right for me?

Women who should consider a tummy tuck are a healthy weight and have healthy dietary habits, have finished having children, and are at low risk for future obesity.

How is a tummy tuck performed?

A tummy tuck is performed under general anesthesia in a surgical facility. This procedure is often performed with a public lift and liposuction.

Will I have a large scar?

While every precaution is made to keep scarring minimal, a scar is over all unavoidable. However, with proper wound care, avoiding direct sunlight, and with the right skin type, scarring can be controlled. If you experience severe scarring, there are treatment options to help minimize the look and texture of the scar over time.

What is recovery like after a tummy tuck?

After the procedure, moderate swelling and mild discomfort, numbness, and tenderness are expected around the incision and under the skin of the abdomen. Medications and rest will help to alleviate many of the side effects of the procedure. Bruising is expected following surgery but should subside within two to four weeks. Optimal results are usually noticed within six to nine months postoperatively.

There are three ways to make an appointment with Dr. Walker:

    Liposuction

Liposuction is a form of body contouring that surgically removes fat from the body. Many women chose liposuction after repeated attempts to lose weight through diet and exercise. Often pregnancy and age make it harder to lose weight and women also find that fat accumulates in places that it hadn’t previously, such as on the outer thighs, buttocks, and around the abdomen.

Liposuction can be performed on almost any part of the body. A consultation with Dr. Walker will help you create a surgical solution and get you back to feeling and looking lighter and more youthful.

    What is liposuction?

Liposuction is a kind of body contouring that removes fat deposits from beneath the skin, changing the shape of a particular part of the body. Liposuction is especially effective in the abdomen, hips, thighs, and to remove the hard to burn fat in the waist, called loved handles.

    How is liposuction performed?

Reshaping through liposuction is an out-patient surgical procedure done under general anesthesia. Prior to surgery, Dr. Walker will mark the areas to be treated. During the surgery, thin tubes are inserted under the skin through which fat is suctioned from the body. Special precautions are used to limit blood loss and damage to the surrounding tissues.

What can I expect after liposuction?

After the procedure, patients are required to wear a restrictive garment to hinder swelling for the first 3 to 4 days. While most daily activities can be resumed within a week or two, Dr. Walker will have specific directions for you to follow postoperatively. The patient’s skin can remain loose for several months after surgery, but will eventually return to its normal tone and texture. Best results are seen within 6 months to a year after the procedure is completed.

While liposuction is not a replacement for diet and exercise, the fat is unlikely to return to the specific areas where liposuction has been performed.

Am I a candidate for liposuction?

Dr. Walker takes the time to carefully evaluate the individual needs of each of her patients. You can expect a first consultation during which, Dr. Christy Walker will discuss your desires and examine your body to be sure liposuction surgery will help you reach your goals.

    Brazilian Butt Lift

A Brazilian butt lift is a popular cosmetic surgical procedure that uses a woman’s excess fat to add shape and round out the buttocks. Excess body fat is removed via liposuction from the thighs, back, or abdomen (usually the love handles) and is purified and added back into the body, specifically the buttock area to create a new shape and lift combined with a narrower waist.

What is a Brazilian butt lift?

A Brazilian butt lift is a surgical procedure that uses a person’s own fat stores, found in other places in their body, but usually the waist; to create fuller, rounder buttocks and a curvier physique.

What can I expect during a Brazilian butt lift?

The procedure usually begins with Dr. Walker using liposuction to remove fat stores from the waist or love handles. Antibiotics are added to help inhibit infection and then the fat is strategically injected under the skin of the buttocks.

What is recovery from a Brazilian butt lift like?

After a Brazilian butt lift patients are not be able to sit on their buttocks or lie on their back for three weeks and will be required to wear a compression garment for several weeks to follow. Patients can, however, usually return to normal activities after four weeks. Special transportation and post-operative care will need to be arranged prior to the surgery.

Who is a good candidate for a Brazilian butt lift?

Anyone who desires a shapelier figure or larger buttocks is a candidate. However, results vary and the women who find the most success are those who are a healthy weight and consume a healthy diet. Scar Revision

Unfortunately, scars are unavoidable after surgery and some cosmetic procedures – whenever there is a cut to the skin a scar will result. Scar revision minimizes the appearance of scar tissues to make it more consistent with surrounding skin texture and tone. Scars vary in size, shape, and texture due to skin type, infection, or how a wound healed after surgery. The most common reason for scar revision is C-section deliveries, which can leave large, thick scars.

Scarring can be caused by the following:

    • C-Sections
    • Previous surgeries
    • Previous cosmetic procedures
    • Traumatic injuries

Depending on the extent of scarring, Dr. Walker may choose to a perform scar revision procedure under local anesthesia, under mild sedation, or for more complex cases, under general anesthesia.

No scar can ever be removed completely, but after initial consultation, Dr. Walker can determine the best course of action and decide whether or not you would benefit from a scar revision procedure.
